Privacy policy

Play At My Funeral is run by SHORE AI LLC ("we", "us"). This policy says what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- From you: your name and email, the name, email and (if you give it) phone number of your Playbearer and backup, the recordings and photos you upload, and the titles you give them.
- From your Playbearer: the name they type to accept the agreement, the date and time, and their internet address.
- When a recording is opened: the date, who opened it, and the date of passing if they enter it.
- Payments: are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
To keep your recordings safe, send you and your Playbearer the emails that make the service work (your private link, the invitation, the agreement, and a note when a recording is opened), take payment, and answer your questions. We do not sell your information and we do not use your recordings for advertising or to train anything.
The message helper
When you use the AI message helper, the words you type are sent to an AI service provider to be rewritten, and the answer comes straight back. We do not save those words. Please don't type account numbers or other sensitive numbers into the helper.
Who else handles it
Our hosting provider stores your files and records. Stripe takes payment. An email service sends our emails. An AI service provider rewrites text for the helper. Each only does that job. We share information when the law requires it.
Visitor counters
On our public pages, such as the home page, we use Google Analytics and Plausible to count visits. Your private page, your Playbearer's pages, and the player do not use them, so nothing about them is sent to a counter. We set no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Your recordings, photos and records are kept for up to the number of years in your package, counted from the day you pay, and then deleted. You can delete a recording or everything at any time before it has been played. After it has been opened, your Playbearer may still download it, and we keep the record that it was opened.
Your choices
You can delete your recordings on your private page. To ask us to correct or delete anything else, write to info@playatmyfuneral.com.
Security
Every private link is long and secret, files are served only to the right link, and we limit how fast anyone can try. No service is perfectly safe, so please keep your links private.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
